General Policy
Aide-mémoire is not responsible for damage caused by wear and tear or by repairs/alterations made by other jewelers. Order cancellation requests must be made within 48 hours of placing the order and before the order ships.
Made-to-Order Rings, Bespoke & Custom Items
All wedding and engagement rings – as well as engraved or custom pieces – are made to order and considered final sale, unless listed as “ready to ship” or “in stock.”
If there is any issue upon receipt, please contact us immediately. In the unlikely event of a manufacturing defect, contact us within 7 days of delivery and we’ll work with you to repair or exchange the item for the same design.
Our pieces are also covered by a six-month warranty for added peace of mind.
In-Stock Rings
In-stock or “Ready to Ship” rings without engraving may be returned within 14 days of receipt for a refund or exchange, provided they are in original, unworn condition.

Earrings & Necklaces
Earrings and necklaces ordered with standard website options may be returned within 14 days of receipt in original condition for a refund or exchange.

Earrings and necklaces customized beyond our standard options are final sale.
Ring Re-sizing
We offer one free re-sizing per ring on most band styles without stones, up to ½ size up or down, within 360 days of receipt.
- Buyer covers shipping both ways
- Additional re-sizing is available for a fee
- Contact us before sending a ring back for sizing
Important:
- We recommend being professionally sized multiple times before ordering
- Printable sizing charts are often inaccurate
- We make each ring to the size requested but cannot guarantee fit
- Re-sizing engraved rings may distort the engraving
- Rings with flush-set stones may not be re-sized
Warranty & Repairs
All of our jewelry is covered by a six-month warranty against manufacturing defects. This includes:
- Free setting inspection and repair
- Free replacement of small accent stones (0.10 ct or smaller)
- One free cleaning and/or refinishing
- One free resizing for most stone-free rings within one year
The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, customer damage, loss/theft, or alterations made by jewelers outside of Aide-mémoire.
